Zoltan Horvath passed away
Zoltan Horvath (207-F/C-79, agency: Laszlo Vinko Services) died! He was on the way from Sopron to Szombathely this morning as his team, Falco KC had the first practice after the Christmas Break. But he could not be there - he lost the control over his car on the street and crashed with a truck.
Zoltan Horvath was 30 years old - a great man and a phantastic player! He grow up in Romania and moved to Hungary with his family many-many years ago. He graduated on the University of Veszprem and signed his first professional contract with Pecs in 2003. After two years he changed to Paks and spent there also two seasons. In June 2007 he played in the Jesolo Summer Leauge and could be scouted by many teams all over Europe. He just signed with PAOK in Greece but left the team in November and got back to ASE. In summer 2008 he signed with Falco KC for two seasons and developed himself to the best player of the team. He could help his team only in 12 games this season and averaged a double-double of 21.3 points and 10.4 rebounds! (eurobasket.com)
