WE’RE KEEPING THE FAITH
That was an absolute dagger of a shot that Big Baby drilled on us, but I just had to sort of chuckle about it. I mean, that shot maybe goes in one out of five times and he beats us with it.
We took away Ray Allen, we got the ball out of Pierce’s hands and Baby drills one from 20-feet. You gotta give him his props because he hit the shot, but we like our chances with him taking that shot.
Just thinking that we were one shot away from being up 3-1 in the series is the killer for us. So close to up 3-1 and now we’re in a dogfight.
That shot really hurt us, but we’re not dead at all, believe that. We still think we’re winning this series. We’re going to Boston with the confidence that we can win this next game and then we’ll close it out back in Orlando.
We’re down about what happened, but we’re not dead. We’ve been a resilient team all year and that’s not going to change after one shot.
I thought I had won it with my free throws. I was playing it in my head like I was on the playground, hitting the game-winning shots. I know people have talked about my free throws in the fourth quarter, but I had all the confidence in the world that’d I’d make them. But Baby had to go and ruin it for me. Big shot, but a killa for us.
We’ll recover from this. We’ve already proven we can win in Boston and we can do it again. We just have to find a way to be more consistent. We can’t keep being great one game and so-so the next.
We’re keeping the faith that we’re still winning this thing. Everybody in our locker room believes that. We’re not about to let one shot kill our spirits.
Peace out homies . — DWIGHT
