Re: The Forgotten STAR - Antoine "The Captain" Walker
Pitää vielä tämä laittaa tänne. Yhen pelin yhteenvedot on mitä on, mutta tässä hyvä peli Antoine "Franchise" Walkerilta:
Worst Performance by a Player, Single Game
But it was the Hawks' Antoine Walker who dropped the finest egg of the season in Atlanta's matinee loss to the Nets.
Guarded for most of the game by defensive stalwart Rodney Buford, Walker shot 3-of-18 from the field, missing all six of his attempts from behind the arc. Though his zero turnovers may have constituted a season (or, while we're at it, career) low, his play single-handedly kept the Nets in the contest. For outside of Walker, the Hawks, who were playing at home, shot 48 percent from the floor and kept the Nets from engaging in the transition game.
Still, for as bad as Walker played, he had one more chance to atone for his bricks.
With New Jersey up three with 1.1 seconds left on the clock, Walker was fouled after corralling a rebound on the other end. He made the first free throw but had to intentionally miss the second to give the Hawks a chance to tie off a tip-in. Instead, he swished it. The shot was perfect. Textbook. The best rotation he had all night. The Nets won.
Worst Performance by a Player, Season
Antoine Walker, easily, is the worst player we've seen this season.
It's not as if Walker doesn't care. He wants to win, he thinks he's doing what it takes to win and he's in the best shape of his career. He came into Atlanta playing as a one-off, fully expecting to keep the inexperienced Hawks competitive in every game, and make good in the eyes of the league. Instead, he's been a disaster, playing some of the worst defense this side of Zach Randolph, and limiting the growth of Atlanta's crew of young, like-minded, forwards.
Even worse, he is last in the league at personal plus/minus ratio, as the Hawks play -17.4 points worse per 48 minutes each game (according to the folks at 82games.com) with Walker on the floor.
Etenkin tuo viimeinen...todellisen Franchise pelaajan tilasto.
